Sunnyside Unified School District is asking voters to approve Proposition 416 in the Nov. 4, 2025 election.
This school bond will ensure our children's safety and security while providing facilities and tools to improve their academic success.
Prop 416 - Critical Facility Improvements
- Construction, renovation and modernization of all 21 school sites and grounds including Sunnyside High School building replacements
- Replacement and upgrades of structural, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, cooling systems
- Athletic and Fine Arts facility upgrades
Prop 416 - Safety, Security, Student Technology
- Critical safety and security improvements
- Classroom technology, furniture and equipment
- Student transportation vehicles
Pima County Elections will administer an all-mail election for the Sunnyside Unified School District on November 4, 2025.
This means all registered voters in the district will receive their ballots by mail, and in-person polling places will not be available.

About Sunnyside Schools
The Sunnyside School District was established in 1921 with 22 students in a one-room adobe building called Sunnyside Elementary School. Sunnyside High School was established in 1955.
Sunnyside Unified School District is now the second-largest district in Southern Arizona serving more than 14,000 students in 22 schools covering 93 square miles including southern Tucson and surrounding areas.
